Synopsis

Jong-hwan, while waiting to be assigned as a teacher, meets Su-kyung in a café where he was writing a poem. They marry soon after. He barely notices his wife's hardships, having to deal with his mother, siblings, and children while living in a rural village. Inevitably, his wife falls ill, and he realizes too late how serious her condition is. He expresses his guilt and love for her through his poetry, but she eventually succumbs to her illness and passes away.

Park Chul-soo

Born in 1948 in Cheongdo, Gyeongbuk. After graduating from Sungkyunkwan University’s School of Economics, he entered the film industry in 1976 by joining Shin Film. He gained attention with notable films such as (1985), (1986), and (1989).
