Synopsis

The 28th year of the Meiji period (1895) at a Susukino brothel where a beautiful courtesan named Kiyomi lives. This is a musical historical film about her glamorous if melancholic life. The director shows his wit and ambition in this film, which stands out for its unique images and songs.

오가와 료스케

1980년 일본 삿포로 출생. 고교 졸업 후 영화제작을 전공했으며 다수의 중단편을 연출했다. 2006년<복수개시! 전원집합>으로 클레르몽페랑영화제에 초청되었으며, 같은 해 <우동>에 수퍼바이징 디렉터로 참여하기도 했다. 현재 삿포로에서 작품 활동에 전념하고 있다.
