Synopsis

Yun-hi accepts the marriage proposal of Mr. Park, the president of a pharmaceutical company. But misfortune befalls her when her groom suffers from a stroke at the altar and becomes brain dead. Yun-hi is forced to live in a suffocating environment with the mother and sister of her ill husband who blame the unfortunate incident on her. Wu-seob, Mr. Park’s son, returns from studying in the US and falls in love with Yun-hi. Agonized by the inappropriate nature of her relationship with her young suitor, Yun-hi runs away from home. Woo-seob finds where Yun-hi is and professes his love for her, but realizing the social stigma a relationship with her would entail for him.

Jeong So-young

Born in 1928 in Seoul. She made her directorial debut in 1967 with , and became a representative melodrama director with (1968). Through the series (which had four sequels) and melodramas such as (1977) and (1981), she continuously built her body of work in the genre.
