Synopsis

Born in Argentina in 1941, Martha Argerich gained the nickname 'Amazones' due to her passionate performances and has remained one of the world's best pianists to this day. While her musical world is widely known through numerous concerts and albums, her private life remains largely unknown. In this film, her daughter Stephanie, whom she had with Stephen Kovacevich, reveals both Martha's personal life—raising three daughters by different fathers—and her life as an artist. Mrs. Argerich, who is extremely sensitive just before stepping onto the stage yet so affectionate with her three grown daughters, will move viewers with beautiful piano melodies.

  • Born in 1975 in Bern, Switzerland, Stephanie Argerich is the daughter of pianist Martha Argerich. She studied Russian in Moscow and graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York. After completing several video courses in Paris, she made her first film, *Martha Argerich and Her Daughters*.
