Synopsis

After a triumphant career that has spanned their entire lives, Katia and Marielle Labeque, the most exceptional pianists of our time, continue to take on the most exciting challenges. Their love for and commitment to Spanish culture led them to establish their artistic residency in Valladolid during the 2011/2012 season, a challenge that matches the many others they set for themselves. Their residency in Valladolid offers a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating creative world of the Labeques, their constant search for ways to develop as artists and women, and their deepened artistic and social commitment to Spain.

  • Felix Cabez
  • Since the early 1990s, Felix Cabez has worked as a director and producer for Spanish television. Before directing documentaries, he made award-winning short films at major film festivals. His first feature, *Buñuel in Hollywood*, was released in 2000, followed by *Almodóvar's 20th Century*, a film about Pedro Almodóvar. In 2010, he directed *Land of a Thousand Orchestras*, a documentary about the Venezuelan Orchestra System.
