Synopsis

Vincent and Antoine, fans of the 80s, are small time producers of look alike celebrities. Between sentimental woes and whims of their pseudo celebrities, the business eventually collapses. On the eve of bankruptcy, they find a box of old 45s: Jeanne Mas, Jean-Luc Lahaye, Lio, Peter & Sloane, Francois Feldman, Images, Sabrina, Gilbert Montagne of all the hits of from the 80s. Immediately a spark, why not go to the real stars of the 80s and mount a concert tour with those forgotten stars. It starts as a hasle but becomes a real hit in the provinces until their triumph at the stade de France.

  • 1969년 태어난 프레데릭 포레스티에는 1993년 단편 <파라노이아>를 만들고 미국으로 건너가 1997년 <평화유지군>이라는 액션물로 장편 데뷔를 했다. 2008년 토마 랑그만과 <아스테릭스: 미션 올림픽 게임>을 함께 연출한 뒤 <스타 80>에서 다시 호흡을 맞추었다. 한편 토마 랑그만은 클로드 베리 감독의 아들이자 배우로도 명성을 떨쳤지만, 이제는 연출에 전념하고 있다.
