Synopsis
There are many rock festivals around the world, but in terms of history, the number of performances, the quality of the lineup, and the number of participants, the Roskilde Festival, held in the suburbs of Copenhagen, rivals Glastonbury Festival, which is considered the largest in the world. This festival, which begins on the last Thursday of June and runs for 8 days, started in 1973 and is known to attract over 100,000 visitors each year. Director Ulrik Wivel filmed for 8 years to document the Roskilde chronicles, featuring performances by the likes of Sonic Youth, Rufus Wainwright, and Placebo.
