Synopsis
A fusion Gukak (Korean traditional music) band, ‘Coreyah’, boards a plane to perform at the Fringe Festival 2013 in Edinburgh. Among thousands of bands participating from overseas, Coreyah manages to draw the audience’s attention by busking and handing out flyers. Although people initially show interest in exotic Asian instruments, such as the Daegum and Geomungo, Coreyah ends up with only one audience member sitting for their theater performance. Indeed, becoming popular and drawing an audience at the Fringe Festival is not an easy task. A senior artist, Gwon Ho-sung, visits Coreyah and criticizes their stage costume and lack of showmanship. After he leaves, the members begin to unleash their complaints, and the mood turns tough...

- Born in 1983 in Seoul, Kwon Oh-kyung graduated from the Department of Film at Chung-Ang University in 2009. After working as a video producer at Credu Product Planning Team, he founded and has been running ‘Anist,’ a documentary-focused independent film company, since 2012. Whale of a Documentary is his first work.
