Synopsis

< Wacken 3D - The Movie > is a documentary about the biggest Metal festival in the world. Filmed with 6 camera units and 18 stereoscopic 3D cameras, the movie takes on stage and behind the curtain with Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Motorhead and many more. Norbert Heitker captures the unique atmosphere and documents 4 days of music, mud and madness through the eyes of four fans from Asia, Germany and USA.

  • After studying media technology in Hamburg, Norbert Heitker worked at the Berlin-based production company DoRo, which was especially active in producing music videos for well-known German-speaking and international artists in the 1990s. Since 2000, Heitker has worked as a freelance director in music videos and commercials, earning a reputation as one of Germany’s top music video directors. He also directed concert documentaries for Die Ärzte, Farin Urlaub, and Sido.
