Synopsis

This film portrays the story of the Czech singer Marta Kubi?ova, who became a symbol of freedom for all generations in Czhecoslovakia. Because of her deep involvement in the Prague Spring, she went from being the most popular singer to being banned, suffering a sudden removal from the public scene by the authorities imposed from Moscow. She fighted for the possibility of the new generation being able to live in a free country she could be proud of.

  • 1949년 프라하에서 태어난 올가 소메로바는 체코국립영화아카데미(FAMU)에서 다큐멘터리를 전공했고, 사회이슈, 인간 관계, 페미니즘, 체코 공화국의 정치 역사를 다룬 영화를 주로 만들었다. 1991년부터 2002년까지 체코국립영화아카데미에서 학생들을 가르쳤고 1994년부터는 다큐멘터리과를 이끌었다. 100 편 가까운 영화를 만들었고 국내외 영화제에서 35번 수상했다.
