Synopsis

Amy Winehouse became a big star by the success of her debut album [Frank]. Through her second album [Back to Black] she became the best singer of the era, and received Grammy awards. However, her ending was tragic, she died of alcohol and drug addiction when she was 27. Her complicated life with big success and expectation, but ruined, is depicted with her friends’ interviews and footage.

  • Asif Kapadia
  • Born in London in 1972, Kapadia studied film at the Royal College of Art. He first gained recognition by winning 2nd place in the Cinefondation section at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival with his short film . His documentary (2010), which chronicles the life of legendary F1 driver Ayrton Senna, won Best Documentary and Best Editing at the British Academy Film Awards. He is currently working on his feature film .
