Synopsis

Lü is the rhythm of rules of the game, it is the spirit of the heroes of heaven and earth, of the power that corrupts, of desires that breed the greed, of the vanishing footprints of humans across thousands of miles, and birds faintly traced among the endless mountains. The final success of the power game is like fishing alone in a frosted river and burying your sword among the forest of rocks.

  • 1947년 중국에서 태어나 홍콩을 근거지로 활동하고 있는 욘판은 감독이자 사진작가이다. 1984년 <소녀일기>로 데뷔했고, 1988년 작품 <유금세월>로 명성을 얻기 시작했다. 1999년 작품 <미소년지 련>은 베를린영화제에 초청되면서 국제적으로도 이름을 알렸고, 2001년 작품 <유원경몽>은 타임지가 선정한 올해의 우수영화 10편 중 한 편으로 선정되기도 했다.
