Synopsis

When passionate jazz fan Michel finds a rare album at a flea market, he can’t wait to listen to it – at home, on his own – but the whole world seems to be ganging up to prevent him from doing so. His wife picks this moment to make an unwelcome confession, his wayward son appears out of the blue, one of his friends drops by unannounced, and his mother won’t stop calling... Nowadays, is it ever possible not to be disturbedeven for a single hour?

  • 1947년 파리에서 태어나 고등영화예술학교(IDHEC)를 졸업했다. 1974년 감독으로 데뷔한 후 몇 편의 코미디 영화로 성공을 거뒀으나 프랑스 밖에서는 거의 알려지지 않았다. 1989년 칸영화제에 상영된 <무슈 이르>로 국제적인 인정을 받기 시작한 그는 <우스꽝스런>과 <기차 안의 남자> 등 국제적 흥행작과 <위대한 공작>을 비롯한 프랑스 흥행작들을 만들어 왔다. 2006년 칸영화제의 심사위원을 맡기도 했다. .
