Synopsis

Born in a small Ukrainian village, Lopatkina reveals herself as a precocious dancer and enters Vaganova Academy in Saint- Petersburg from which she graduates with a Grand Prix. This is when she starts collaborating with Mariinsky Theatre where she quickly becomes the Prima Ballerina through incredible performances. She then triumphs with [Swan Lake] and according to specialized critics, she is the most beautiful swan they’ve ever seen in the history of ballet to this date.

  • 감독이자 제작자, 다큐멘터리 촬영 감독을 겸하고 있다. 특히 고전 무용과 현대 무용을 가리지 않고, 무용을 영상화하는 작업을 20년 가까이 해오고 있다. 그녀는 2010년 작품<꿈과 같이>를 비롯해서 <발레를 위한 삶>(2011), <파리오페라 발레의 별, 아녜스>, <마린스키의 전설, 율리아나 로파트키나>(2015) 등 발레를 다룬 많은 작품을 연출했다.​
