Synopsis

In October 2011, open mic nights were held at C Cloud Cafe, sparking growing interest among singer-songwriters in Hongdae. These artists use music as a medium to express their thoughts and emotions freely. Through their songs, we hear frustrations about free music streaming and poignant reminders of tragedies that should not be forgotten. What are these singer-songwriters truly trying to convey?

  • Born in Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do, Woo Sung-ha graduated from Jecheon High School. Since 2000, he has directed SBS programs such as Capture the Moment: How Is That Possible? and Live Today. After documenting open mic performances in Hongdae in 2013, he developed a deep interest in music documentaries. He currently runs HnH Media Production.
