Synopsis

Ella Fitzgerald’s voice is unrivalled to this day. She had the perfect pitch and perfect intonation. In the film, the focus will be on the voice of Ella. We want to unravel the secret of her voice through many different people, who will tell about what impact her voice had on them and still has. We want to learn more about Ella’s life to find out what made her sing like she did and only she could.

  • Born in 1970 in Stuttgart, Kacha Dureger studied political science, history, philosophy, rhetoric, literature, media studies, and documentary filmmaking at the University of Cologne, Tübingen, and Marburg. Since 2000, she has been working as a freelance TV journalist and documentary director for German television broadcasters.
