Synopsis

A dark musical set in a modern marketplace next to a large freeway. The employees of various commercial establishments, portrayed as animals, deal with boredom and existential anxiety by performing cheerful musical numbers. The apocalypse appears as a seductive escape.

  • Niki Lindroth von Bahr is an artist and animation director based in Stockholm. She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Royal Institute of Art. Her films, including The Bath House (2014) and Tord and Tord (2010), have been screened at major international festivals such as the Berlinale, Sundance, and Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
