    • Jung Yoon-cheol first gained recognition in 1997 when his film won Best Film and the Cinematheque Award at the 4th Seoul Short Film Festival. He made a striking debut with his first feature film, (2005), winning both the Grand Prize and Best Screenplay at the 41st Baeksang Arts Awards. The film also earned him Best New Director and Best Screenplay at the 42nd Grand Bell Awards and Best New Director at the 26th Blue Dragon Film Awards, bringing him widespread acclaim. In 2017, he presented a fresh perspective on historical drama with , starring Lee Jung-jae and Yeo Jin-goo. Jung also directed the short film for JTBC’s “Movie for All,” which was screened at the 15th Seoul Eco Film Festival. The film was also selected for a special screening at the 2018 Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF), held in Tokyo starting June 4.
