14th JIMFF World Music Film Flow (International Competition) Award Results
LOTTE Award
Among the films screened in the "World Music Film Flow" section, the only competitive section of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, one film is selected by a panel of domestic and international judges to receive the LOTTE Award. The Grand Prize-winning film is specially screened as the closing film, and a prize of 20 million KRW is awarded with sponsorship from LOTTE Entertainment.

- Director | Thailand
- Thai film director, producer, and screenwriter. A pioneer of Thailand's New Wave cinema. His thriller "Nang Nak" (1999) received the NETPAC Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and many other honors. In 2008, he became the fifth filmmaker to receive the Silpathorn Award from Thailand’s Ministry of Culture for outstanding contemporary artists.

- Former Canal+ journalist, now a producer specializing in Chinese cinema. Produced Wang Xiaoshuai's award-winning films including "Shanghai Dreams" (2005, Jury Prize at Cannes) and "Red Amnesia" (2014, Venice Competition). Founded the Asia-focused production/distribution company Chinese Shadows in 2008.

Awarded Actress of the Year at the Women in Film Korea Awards for "Missing" (2016).

- Graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in English Literature and completed the 11th class of the Korean Academy of Film Arts. Gained attention with his short "2001 Imagine" (1995). Won Best Director at the Moscow International Film Festival for his debut feature "Save the Green Planet!" (2003). Later acclaimed for "Hwayi: A Monster Boy" (2013) and "1987: When the Day Comes" (2017).

From 2006 to 2016, the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival presented the Jecheon Film Music Award to musicians who made significant contributions to Korean film music. Past recipients include the late Shin Byung-ha, Choi Chang-kwon, Jung Sung-jo, as well as active musicians like Cho Sung-woo, Lee Dong-jun, and Han Jae-kwon. From 2017, the scope of the award expanded to include all of Asia. The first recipient was Japanese film composer Kenji Kawai, and in 2018, Chinese musician Tan Dun was honored as the second recipient.

- Tan Dun, a globally renowned musician and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, is celebrated for his groundbreaking compositions that blend classical music with multimedia performance and Eastern and Western traditions. He won the Academy Award for Best Original Score for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000), as well as a Grammy and BAFTA in 2001. Other accolades include the Grawemeyer Award (1998), the Bach Prize (2011), and the Shostakovich Award (2012)—he was the first Chinese recipient. In 2018, he received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Film Festival. His works are widely performed by leading orchestras and broadcast globally.
- Last year, Tan Dun composed and conducted music for the grand opening of the newly launched Walt Disney theme park, which was broadcast worldwide with record-breaking viewership. He currently serves as Honorary Artistic Director of the China National Symphony Orchestra and conducts the NDR Philharmonic Orchestra, while also leading the London Symphony Orchestra at the Venice Biennale.
