Synopsis

Vijay is the good-for-nothing son of a rich industrialist, who becomes bored of his father's constant railing and the efforts to marry him off. So he leaves home to go to Bombay and starts life afresh. But he does not have enough money for a ticket. He disguises himself as a child in order to get the eponymous half-ticket. On the train, his adventure begins as he meets a diamond smuggler and falls in love with Rajnidevi. The legendary Kishore Kumar’s songs and slapstick comedy performance are the charm of the film.
