Synopsis

< The Gambler > is a sung-through musical in the tradition of the musicals by french filmmaker Jacques Demy. The film revolves around Jack, a lovestruck poker player who is trying to win a high stakes poker game while his partner in love and crime, Genvieve, is the waitress at the bar where the game takes place. The film reunites the songwriting partnership of Josh Reichental and Donncha Gilmore who created the Irish language musical < Bonsoir Luna > in 2016.
