- Lapid Zara was born in 1978 in Erbil, Northern Kurdistan, Iraq. He majored in Fine Arts in Erbil and earned a master's degree in Düsseldorf and Krefeld, Germany. After studying animation in Düsseldorf, he now resides and works in Düsseldorf.
