Synopsis

Gaspar trains for the Malambo dancing tournament. His body aches, but he makes an extraordinary effort in order to achieve his goal. He has visions of his opponent, who has beaten him. He feels resentful, and that inescapable feeling towards his competitor disturbs him. Gaspar tries to improve his technique aided by his instructor, and at the same time, he trains children in the art of zapateo. One day, he bumps into his enemy, the winner of the tournament. His rival is kind and real, and Gaspar's envy and bitterness might give way at that moment.

  • ​산티아고 로자는 1971년 아르헨티나 코르도바에서 태어났다. 아르헨티나 국립영화영상기관(INCAA)의 영화학교, 부에노스아이레스 시립연극학교에서 공부했다. 로자의 작품은 다수의 영화제에서 상영되었고 아르헨티나 및 해외에서 여러 차례 수상한 바 있다. 리마, 산티아고, 툴루즈, 칸 영화제 등에서 심사위원으로도 활동했다.
