Synopsis
Three decades ago, with the help of the United Nations, thousands of people from a remote village were relocated from the desert to the banks of the Yellow River, near a city. However, most of their local ballads and folk music, which had been sung for generations, were lost. This young man, who had stammered since childhood, learned many folk songs to treat his stutter. The treatment failed, but he became obsessed with the folk music of his homeland. For the last seven years, he has stayed away from home to make a living as a touring singer.
