Synopsis

Ho-tae, the hard-working delivery boy at a fish market in Busan, often plays guitar and sings at his favorite spot, the lighthouse. He runs into his old classmate, Elly. Elly, the former violin prodigy, turns out to have a serious interest in Rock ‘n’ Roll now. She even takes rather unusual guitar lessons from somewhat strange old folks, unknown to her dad. With her insisting that one of them is the vocalist of the legendary band, ‘The Legend’, Ho-tae follows Elly to the music class. They, each with their own secrets, begin a strange journey together.

  • Lee Jang-hee graduated from Kyungpook National University with a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting in 1997 and has worked as a PD at KNN TV since then. In 2007, he directed his first drama, Ripple Drama, and received the PD of the Month award. In 2013, he directed the sitcom Chon-Ticom: Welcome to Gaori, which won the Long-Form Drama Award at the Korean Broadcasting Awards. His 2018 film Rock 'n' Roll Grandpa is his feature film debut.
