“JIMFF Live Choice” is a signature program of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival that brings music and film together in one venue.   • On the morning of September 11, 2001, two strangers, Elliott and Joni, meet on a flight from LA to New York. When the plane is forced to return to Los Angeles due to the 9/11 attacks, they find themselves in the middle of chaos. Though they have little in common besides needing to get to New York urgently, they accept a friend’s offer to borrow an old van and begin a cross-country journey. Through the tension and challenges brought on by the national tragedy, they discover a shared love for old folk songs. Singing together, they find healing through music and meet fellow citizens who mourn, offer encouragement, and reflect the enduring spirit of humanity.
