Performance Information

The “Street Musician Festival” is a special music program unique to the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF) that introduces talented musicians and allows them to engage closely with audiences in intimate settings. During the festival, musicians will perform throughout the city of Jecheon—including at the Uirimji Stage, Megabox Jecheon Stage, and Jecheon Culture & Arts Center—filling the streets with a variety of music. This year’s festival features eight newly selected acts along with musicians from the 2017 edition, promising an even more vibrant and diverse lineup.

  • A three-member band whose name combines “moment” and “tale,” Momentale delivers stories through music.   • Like a box full of sweetness, Sugarbox brings warm melodies to the audience. A samba and acoustic band featuring Rectrouge on Brazilian percussion, Lee Ho-jae on piano, and Nijoo on vocals, their music is accessible and joyful, featuring easy-to-sing-along melodies and sparkly lyrics.

  • A three-piece pop-rock-jazz band, Ainstown’s musical motto is “to bring a smile, even if just for a moment.” Their music features playful sound and rich melodies that effortlessly disarm listeners, creating a light and enjoyable atmosphere.

  • An acoustic pop duo consisting of Koo Ki-hoon (vocals, guitar) and Kim Kyung-min (vocals, keyboard), WeAreYoung debuted in 2017 with “Just Loving You.” They’ve received accolades like the Grand Prize at the Shinhan Card Rookie Contest and the Silver Prize at the Martin Contest. Expect a calm yet powerful performance from this rising talent.

  • A solo singer-songwriter who sings while playing the piano, UaePo’s name comes from the characters for “you” (you), “love” (愛), and “to throw” (抛)—meaning “to throw love to you.” Known for her powerful vocals and rhythmic piano, she has been recognized in numerous music programs and performs regularly as a beloved indie artist. She also hosts the midnight radio show “UaePo’s Scratchbook” on Mapo FM, building a strong fan base.

  • Centered around singer-songwriter Oh Saem, Himitsu is a pop band whose name means “he meets” in English and “secret” in Japanese. Their mission is to create music that feels like a secret you want to keep. Blending pop, punk, waltz, jazz, and acoustic styles, their music features mysterious lyrics and a unique vibe, promising a distinctive stage at JIMFF.

  • A five-member band consisting of Kim Jong-gil (leader, drums), Jeong Ho-won (vocals), Park Aaron (keyboard), Kim Yoon-soo (guitar), and Park Ji-won (bass), W24 stands for “World 24 Hours”—reflecting their dream to share music with the world around the clock. Their modern rock sound is upbeat and heartfelt, and the group is known not only for playing instruments but also for writing, composing, and producing their own music.
