Synopsis

Manny works at a shipping company. His life is truly non-eventful and dull, until he meets the beautiful but highly arrogant Karen. By day, Karen is a two-bit host of a home shopping network. When the sun is down, she frequents clubs and discos to fill her time and searches for company. Manny’s affection towards Karen is obvious, but she thinks of him as nothing more than a friend, someone she can always rely on though she will not care for in return.

Lam Tze-chung

Born in Hong Kong in 1976. Lam entered the broadcasting industry in 1995 as a writer at TVB. Due to his chubby appearance, he was often cast in comedic roles. After joining Stephen Chow’s team, he showcased his versatility as both a scriptwriter and actor. He wrote the screenplays for the horror-comedy web film Three: Elevator (2003) and Kung Fu Hustle (2005), and also directed music videos. In 2006, he made his directorial debut with the feature film I'll Call You.
