Synopsis

This film aims to revive the memory of this great composer from the National Superior Conservatory of Paris for Music and Dance, who was driven by music. Georges Delerue dedicated the major part of his art and work to film scores. He composed more than 200 film scores. Very few composers expressed themselves like him through very different genres. He composed for the cinema of the new wave, such as *Contempt* by Jean-Luc Godard, *Jules and Jim*, and *Day for Night* by François Truffaut, but also for popular cinema with Philippe de Broca in *That Man from Rio* and Gérard Oury in *The Sucker*.

  • He built his audiovisual career working with special effects for TV. As an art director, he planned various advertising campaigns for the prominent French film production company Gaumont, as well as other TV commercials and special effects. He also led several projects for famous magazines such as *Marie Claire: Cézanne Special Edition*, *Elle*, and *Geo*.
