Synopsis

Maiko’s destiny was decided before she was born. Her name Maiko means ‘dancing child.’ Her mother sold their house and car to send 14 year old Maiko to the most prestigious dancing school in Europe. She knew she couldn't return to Japan as a failure. Today, Maiko is 32 at the peak of her career as a prima ballerina at Norwegian National Ballet. Maiko is not a young dancer anymore and talented newcomers are longing for her position. Competition is getting tougher when Maiko decides to start a family...

  • 1977년 북부 노르웨이 트롬쇠에서 태어났고, <키르케네스의 우리의 남자>(2010)로 감독 데뷔를 했다. 또한, 수상작인 노르웨이 TV 시리즈 [태국 한 조각]를 만든 감독 중 한 명이다. 그녀는 ‘산트 & 우산트’ 제작사와 함께 다큐멘터리 두 편<춤추는 마이코>과 <우리 가족의 식탁 주위에>를 제작했다.
