Synopsis

Ballet [Nutcracker] has been reproduced in numerous versions since Imperial Ballet Company of Russia St. Petersburg had its premiere by Petipa with music of Tchaikovsky at 1892. This ballet version is choreographed by a legendary choreographer Yuri Grigrovich of Bolshoi Ballet. The story of Christmas Eve begins when a girl Marie sleeps with a nutcracker suite, a Christmas present from her godfather Drosselmeyer.

  • Director Seongbok Jung was the 3D director and stage director for Wheesung’s It’s Real in 2010. He also directed the 3D version of the French musical Mozart, l'opéra rock in 2011 and worked as a 3D producer and director for the 2013 French musical 1789: Les Amants de la Bastille. He has earned recognition in the 3D field. In 2014, he directed The Nutcracker as well as Evaporation and Mephisto as part of the Seoul Arts Center’s performance filming project.
