Synopsis

The film is based on the autobiography of worldly famous Chinese ballet dancer Li Cun-xin. 11 years old Cun-xin had a chance to move from the poor rural village to Beijing to study ballet. He was selected as a young ballet talent by government officials, led by Mao's wife. When he resided in Houston as an exchange student in 1979, he fell in love with an American dancer. He was forced to come back to China after the exchange period ended, but he wanted to stay in USA.
