Synopsis

Vijay is the good-for-nothing son of a wealthy industrialist, tired of his father's constant nagging and relentless matchmaking attempts. Fed up, he runs away to Bombay to start a new life. However, he doesn't have enough money for a full train ticket, so he disguises himself as a child to purchase the eponymous "half-ticket." His adventure begins on the train, where he encounters a diamond smuggler and falls in love with Rajnidevi. The film’s charm lies in the legendary Kishore Kumar’s songs and his hilarious slapstick comedy performance.
