Synopsis

Valda Marshall has just turned 90 years old, and is still playing trumpet, saxophone, and singing jazz. In this film, Valda describes her life in and out of music, and in and out of the clubs and pubs she plays in in Sydney. The film was intended to capture Valda's passion for the music she has been playing for over 60 years.

  • Born in England in 1967, Simon Shilley moved to Australia in 2008. He earned an honors degree in Media and Design from Portsmouth University and completed his Master's degree in Film and Digital Imaging at the University of Sydney. His films have been screened at various film festivals.
