Synopsis

Bobby Choy (Big Phony) is a singer-songwriter from New York City. While on a world tour with his childhood friend Billy’s band, Bobby ditches his roadie duties to explore a land where everyone looks like him, Korea. He befriends I-na, a Korean busker who is facing her own set of personal struggles. They seem to find success as they lean on each other.

  • Big Phony
  • Big Phony is a singer-songwriter from New York. After his family moved to Los Angeles when he was 14, he stayed in New York to continue his studies at the New York School of the Performing Arts, where he also created music. Since 2011, he has lived in Korea, appearing on TV and radio, and performing. Fiction & Other Realities is his feature film debut.

  • Steve Lee, originally from San Francisco, studied Asian American Studies at San Francisco State University. He is currently the CEO, director, and producer at Luminous Productions in Korea. His feature film debut, The Road Home, was released in Korea in 2011.
