Program Note
93-year-old jazz legend Clark Terry is one of the few performers ever to have played in both Count Basie’s and Duke Ellington’s bands. Even today, Terry continues to attract and nurture new talent. This film highlights his friendship with Justin Kauflin, a 23-year-old blind piano prodigy who suffers from debilitating stage fright. As the clock ticks, we witness the powerful journey of two friends confronting the greatest challenges of their lives.
