Synopsis

​ On the day he's released from prison, Dong-gun arrives at work at a financial investment firm in good spirits, but no one is happy to see him. Surprised to see him, Mr. Yoon drags him out. Dong-gun demands that Mr. Yoon create a big fund as if he owes him money, and Mr. Yoon introduces him to the head of Butter Cream Bread Entertainment.

Program Note

​ A formal musician Dong-geun, returns to the company after serving time for financial fraud. While preparing for another fraud, he meets Whats Up and has his musical spark reignited. This heartwarming story follows Dong-geun, as he overcomes obstacles in the form of his father's expectations, while Whats Up, a member of the new generation, achieves his lifelong dream. Featuring a remade stage performance of Shin Jung-hyun's Woman in the Rain, this film is a testament to the power of music to unite people across generations. Portraying Hwang Dong-geun, Yang Donggeun, a talented actor and singer, delivers an inspiring performance that showcases his multifaceted abilities. (Jinna Lee)

    • Yun Jae-yeon was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1972 where she continues to reside. During middle school, she followed her younger sister to an art academy and coincidentally started pursuing art. She attended Sunhwa Arts High School and graduated from Seoul Women's University with a major in Western Painting. After graduation, she entered the School of Film, TV & Multimedia at Korea National University of Arts and started her filmmaking career. She gained recognition for her graduation short film Psycho Drama and made her directorial debut in 2003 with Whispering Corridors 3: Wishing Stairs.
